Vale Max Lawson & Frankie Pettinella

4 Apr 2024 by Chris Harding

LMU would like to extend its heartfelt sympathies to senior players Sam Shaw and Louie Pettinella, and their respective families.

Sam lost her partner Max unexpectedly. Max was an avid footy player and, whilst he wasn’t a huge fan of soccer, he was supportive of Sam’s love of the game as well as LMU, contributing his time to help renovate part of the clubrooms last year. Our heartfelt condolences to Sam, Max’s daughter Payton, parents Brett & Jane and his extended family & friends.

Louie has been a player with LMU since Mt Lilydale formed, back in 2006. He’s played every season, captained the club and supported the club off-field. He lost his 4yo son Frankie after a short battle with cancer. Frankie was active little boy who loved spending time with his brothers and family and brought so much joy to everyone he touched. Our deepest sympathies go out to Louie, Tea, Johnny, Charlie & family.

Monash Health Foundation supported the Pettinella family, if you would like to make a donation to MHF please reach out to the club.
