To help LMU grow, we need to increase the football knowledge among our members. We have a great team of parents and players that volunteer each week to coach, referee, team-manage and canteen helper. To acknowledge this commitment, LMU would like to make all our members aware that the club is here to support the volunteers and pay for needed resources, such as training.
Referee TrainingThere is a shortage of referees
across Australia and we have often been in a position of relaying on a non-qualified parent to lead the games. To increase the pool of referee
available, we will offer to all LMU members (14+) that become a referee
the standard going rate of a game plus $20 extra for the first 10 games
refereed at LMU. We can’t force other clubs to pay more, but we are
happy to pay for the $200 referee course split across 10 games.
Please access the Football Australia Learning Centre
here to find a referee or coaching
course
Coach Training. The club is also offers to pay for all our coaches to do ‘The Foundation of Football’ course, which is a prerequisite for the Football Australia/AFC C Diploma. We can hopefully get 2 or 3 coaches to obtain their C licence.
Volunteering as a football helper, as a parent offers numerous benefits. It fosters a strong connection with your child, allows you to contribute to LMU, and provides valuable skill development opportunities. Plus, it can create positive memories for both you and your child, and help develop a sense of community within LMU.
